Two Cases of Angioleiomyoma Arising from the Lateral Nasal Wall

Abstract
Leiomyomas are benign myogenic tumors most commonly found in the uterus, skin, and gastrointestinal tracts. It was less than 1% occurred in the head and neck area. Especially its incidence in the nasal cavity is more rare. This rarity is partly attributable to the fact that smooth muscle is sparsely present in the nasal cavity apart from the walls of blood vessels. Commonly presented symptoms are frequent epistaxis and nasal obstruction. Complete surgical excision is the treatment of choice. Recently we experienced two cases of angioleiomyoma which were found in the lateral wall of nasal cavity, and excisied via alotomy approach.
